In 2015, White Plains Common Council passed an ordinance re-zoning certain properties in the light industrial (LI) zoning district along Westmoreland Avenue in White Plains, NY into a Light Industrial Mixed-Use (LI-M) district. The LI-M zone provided more permitted uses including conversion to residential. In 2017 HayMax purchased three contiguous lots on Westmoreland Avenue located in the LI-M zone. The properties were entitled to develop a 60,000 square foot mixed-use property featuring 62 residential rental units, 97 parking spaces, and retail on the ground floor. HayMax sold the parcels in August 2020.
